RFID attendance system provides wireless identification of stakeholders when they fall in the radiofrequency range of the RFID attendance reader. To mark the attendance automatically, the students or staff need to carry the RFID tag that contains unique information about them such as name/ID number/class/section.various components which are RFID reader, RFID card, microcontroller and Secure Digital Card (SD Card), a portable RFID based attendance system can be set up and become the solutions to address this problem. This analysis found that, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) is a very advanced technology for automatic attendance system and it provide very higher accuracy and performance than traditional paper-based system.

This technology provides a safe way to mark attendance of students and teachers without actually coming in contact. The components used here are: 1. RFID Sensor and Card. 2. Atmega32 . RFID based attendance system consists of RFID Reader, RFID Tag, LCD display and microcontroller unit. RFID can be interfaced to microcontroller through USART. Data is transferred from RFID cards to reader and from there to microcontroller.
