no rf reading cb When I connect the CB, what happens is, #6, #8, and #9 changes from ‘no reading’ and I get a reading. I don’t understand this since it’s my understanding that the mount should be isolated from the antenna. NFC is activated on this phone, and I have Android 12 on it. The phone is a Samsung A13 5G. So idk why it still doesn't work. The weird thing is, is that I'm able to download it on my .

If you have a power mic, try turning the power down on that. It could be caused by someone in close proximity to you that is operating at high modulation. To help support this channel donations can be made at. https://www.patreon.com/MikesRadioRepair

I don’t understand this since it’s my understanding that the mount should be isolated from the antenna. There may have been a change in trace routing to reduce a crossfeed issue (as I call it) where RF can be induced in a trace close to another that is producing RF - it can generate a interference pattern and small eddy currents can build into big problems if the RF is not removed effectively.
While the majority of CB-related issues stem from improper antenna installation and high SWR, radios can cause problems from time to time. The following are the most common radio problems and how to address them.
Yesterday my CB stopped working and is not indicating any changes in the mentioned readings when hitting transmit. I still receive the weather channels but the CB channels seem dead. When you are experiencing a high SWR reading on one end of the frequency range, it is easy to adjust (lengthen or shorten) your antenna system to correct the problem. A high SWR across all channels can be a little more frustrating to figure out. A few seconds of keying up with a bad/untuned antenna or unconnected one is unlikely to hurt a typical CB radio at 4 watts output, and if it did you'd know because your RF output would drop significantly or give no reading at all. First and foremost your RF Gain is too low, crank that knob to full power only dial it back when you get too much noise. RF Gain is your receiving sensitivity. I’d also replace or at least clean the Coaxial connections.
What is RF Gain on a CB Radio? RF is used as a synonym for "radio frequency," in this case a CB radio. It describes the wireless communication of signals through the air rather than through wires like a plug-in home phone.Turn Down RF Gain/Mic Gain/Power Mic.
